I used straight-line to move from Wisconsin to DC recently. The pickup itself was fine and went smoothly. I let them know the one item I really cared about was my brand new TV (more on that later). Once I left Wisconsin the communication was poor. I had a 3 day drop-off window, and noone from straight-line could seem to get into contact with the destination agent. So much so that the day before my last pickup day, I dug up the agents information myself. They answered right away when I called and scheduled my drop-off - something straight-line couldn't seem to do. On drop-off, the one thing I cared about, my TV, was completely missing. No-one knows where it went, and no-one from straight-line seemed to care either. I'll file a claim now with Allied and wait 60 days to get reimbursed. I'd avoid them if I were you, and I may file a complaint with the BBB. I never leave reviews for anything because it usually goes well. But I'm disappointed my most valuable item was lost, and not a single person from straightline bothered to follow-up.

Poor experience with them. It took over 5 hours to move out of a one bedroom apartment. One of the movers barely helped move furniture out. They were 2 hours late to the location I was moving into the next day. The same mover barely helped due to being sick. That move took about 6 hours to move my furniture in and my family had to assist with moving stuff. The company was aware of this and refused to offer a discount.

They just left things outside on the patio they were instructed to place in the basement..The glass to my table was broke. I’m still finding things they damaged. I was so extremely impressed and pleased with the help I received today that I can't find the right words to express my appreciation. I had a very unique and bizarre move and these guys were there on very short notice and they beared down and did way more than I even expected out of them. Initially when I saw the 2 very young men I assumed it would be a long expensive day with nothing much getting accomplished, and I was so wrong that I truly feel guilty for making that assumption. Never once did they get on their phone or sit around visiting and texting like most late teens would do. If I were a man of means, I would've gladly given them each a $100 tip. It's so hard to find good help these days and I'll probably be in shock for a while over how professional and hard working these young men were. I wish I could remember their names because I'd like to say thanks again and thanks for restoring my faith in young men. 👍😉👍. They had to leave around noon today before the job was finished, but they made sure more help showed up to finish and we got it done! I was in bind and needed two extra guys on short notice. Tim made it happen and they got everything done. It took 9 hours and three trucks full, so it was an hour less than I expected. The things that stuck out for me was that there wasn't any damage to the trim or doors on the new place. Paid this company to pack my belongings, store them for several months & ship them out of state. Do not waste your money here. The packers did a very poor job of packing. Things are missing & broken. Several boxes were claimed to have "disappeared". They tried to give me someone else's garage tools & ladder. I would like MY things returned. The unloading side was good & efficient. The packing & storage was awful. Also make sure you get in writing the weight. They quoted it almost 2000 lbs wrong. A waste of $$. Only reason I'm giving 2 stars is b/c the unloading side did well.
